Green and Smart Mobility (GSM), the ride-hailing service under the ecosystem of Vietnam’s conglomerate Vingroup, has more than doubled its charter capital from end-2025 to June 2026, according to its filings with the ministry-run national business registration portal.

According to its latest filings last Friday, the charter capital increased from to VND54 trillion ($2.05 billion). Of the new total capital, 94.7 percent, or VND51.15 trillion, was contributed in Vietnamese dong, with the remainder classified under “other assets.” GSM is known for utilizing only electric vehicles of VinFast, the carmaker under Vingroup ecosystem.

The figure more than double from VND25 trillion at the end of 2025, indicating that GSM has poured over $1 billion in charter capital in the first half of 2026.

Beyond capital growth, the June 2026 filing also recorded a significant expansion of GSM’s registered business activities. In addition to its existing lines, including vehicle rental, road passenger and freight transport, vehicle warranty, the company added a substantial number of new sectors. These include software publishing, computer programming, IT infrastructure, data processing, educational support activities, and others.

The amendment documents also reflect changes in the company’s leadership so far in 2026, Nguyen Quoc Tuan as General Director and Pham Thu Huong as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. They replaced Nguyen Van Thanh and Phan Thanh Long, respectively.

Both Tuan and Huong hold key positions in Vingroup ecosystem. Tuan is a vice general director of Vingroup. Huong is a vice chairwoman of Vingroup and also the spouse of Vingroup founder-chairman Pham Nhat Vuong.
