Blackwall, a web traffic security company based in Estonia, has partnered with Vietnam’s HOSTVN Technology Solutions Joint Stock Company to launch HOSTVN Website Protection, marking Blackwall’s  entry into Vietnam, also its first market in Southeast Asia.

In a statement on Tuesday, Blackwall said HostVN would integrate Blackwall’s traffic security platform into its hosting infrastructure. The cooperation can offer Vietnamese businesses website protection covering Layer 7 DDoS defense, bot mitigation, web application firewall, SSL management, and content caching, delivered without requiring in-house security expertise from customers.

Madan Rai, VP Sales Asia at Blackwall, said the company chose Vietnam as its launchpad because its digital economy is scaling rapidly and requires infrastructure that matches that ambition.

Founded in 2007, HostVN has served Vietnamese businesses across five phases of the digital economy, from web hosting to cloud infrastructure and AI-related offerings. Duong Thanh Binh, Chairman of HostVN, said the partnership with Blackwall represents the company’s sixth strategic evolution, adding intelligent traffic security to its infrastructure stack.

Blackwall has indicated Vietnam is the first in a planned series of Southeast Asia partnerships, with Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand identified as subsequent target markets, alongside a major Series B funding round to support its international expansion.

The Blackwall platform operates as a reverse proxy positioned in front of customer websites, inspecting traffic across multiple detection layers including signature analysis, device fingerprinting, IP reputation scoring, and behavioral algorithms, before forwarding clean traffic to the origin server.
