Vietnam’s FPT Corporation and Thailand’s SCG will jointly develop artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation initiatives across SCG’s business ecosystems, covering AI-driven operations, intelligent enterprise platforms, and ERP transformation.
The two sides has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the move at the Thailand-Vietnam Business Forum 2026 in Bangkok late last week, FPT said in a statement on Tuesday.
Under the agreement, both companies will explore integration of AI, cloud, IoT, data governance, and enterprise systems across SCG’s business units, spanning areas including AI-driven industrial transformation, digital platform development, enterprise process excellence, digital infrastructure, and security and governance.
Thammasak Sethaudom, President and CEO of SCG, said the industrial giant of Thailand is transitioning from a data-driven to an AI-driven enterprise, with a goal of embedding artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation into its core operations. SCG is developing agentic AI to reimagine business workflows, and that the partnership with FPT would combine SCG’s industry expertise with FPT’s digital capabilities to accelerate scalable AI solutions across the region, the executive added.
Levi Nguyen, Chief Executive Officer of FPT Thailand and FPT Taiwan, said the partnership would help SCG translate AI ambition into tangible business outcomes, driving smarter operations and building a more resilient and sustainable industrial ecosystem across the region.
Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT, highlighted FPT has developed CASAN, a five-level AI capability framework providing enterprises with a roadmap for AI transformation.
FPT recorded revenue of VND70.11 trillion ($2.67 billion) and pre-tax profit of VND13.04 trillion ($497.33 million) in 2025, up 11.6 percent and 17.8 percent from those in 2024, respectively.
