Intel has expanded the role of Santhosh Viswanathan, Vice President and Managing Director for Intel India, appointing him as Vice President and Managing Director for India, Asia Pacific, and Japan (APJ), the tech giant announced on Tuesday.
Viswanathan will now oversee a broader regional mandate covering APJ. His responsibilities include leading business operations, brand strategy, and customer engagement across the combined region under a unified leadership structure. In the expanded role, Viswanathan will focus on driving business growth, strengthening engagement with customers and partners, and advancing Intel’s strategic priorities across the region.
Viswanathan has more than two decades of experience at Intel, with leadership roles across multiple geographies. Before leading Intel India, he oversaw operations across Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and held other regional leadership positions within APJ.
Earlier in his career, he served as Global Director of Operations in the United States, where he led sales operations strategy and planning for the global sales organization and supported transformation initiatives across markets.
Viswanathan holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management and an MBA.
