India’s AI-power technology company Wipro will acquire Mindsprint, the technology subsidiary of Singapore’s agribusiness Olam Group, for S$375 million ($291 million) cash, as part of a broader strategic partnership that includes a long-term digital transformation deal valued at over $1 billion.
In separate statements on Monday, both Wipro and Olam Group said the acquisition, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, is expected to be completed by the end of June 2026. Following the transaction, Mindsprint will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Wipro, with its existing leadership team continuing to manage operations.
Alongside the acquisition, Wipro has secured an eight-year transformation contract awarded by Olam Group, with a committed annual spend of approximately $100 million for eight years, or equivalent to $800 million . The total engagement value is expected to exceed $1 billion.
Under the agreement, Wipro will provide end-to-end transformation services using a consulting-led and AI-driven approach. The scope of work spans Olam’s “farm-to-fork” value chain, including farming, manufacturing, forecasting, trading, supply chain operations, and customer engagement, with a focus on improving efficiency and resilience.
Olam Group said the sale is part of its ongoing reorganization plan to streamline its portfolio and focus on core operations, while progressively returning value to shareholders.
Mindsprint, which employs over 3,200 professionals primarily in India, has been a key technology partner in Olam’s digital transformation initiatives. The company delivers digital, cybersecurity, and supply chain solutions across multiple industries, including food and agriculture, manufacturing, retail, and healthcare.
