Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat), Indonesia’s digital telecommunications company, has announced its collaboration with Qualcomm to enhance network performance and efficiency.
Indosat said in a statement on last Friday that through the adoption of the Qualcomm Dragonwing RAN Automation Suite, this initiative marks an important step in Indosat’s broader effort to integrate artificial intelligence (AI)-driven automation across its network.
Leveraging Qualcomm Technologies’ advanced AI capabilities, Indosat aims to optimize network operations, reduce operational costs, and deliver a superior experience for its customers.
“The adoption of the Dragonwing RAN Automation Suite marks an important milestone in Indosat’s journey of innovation, and this is only the beginning,” said Desmond Cheung, Director and Chief Technology Officer, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.
“This AI-driven automation features are developed and integrated, to continue to advance network performance and elevate the experience for our customers,
“Together, we look forward to unlocking even greater value through this innovation and partnership,” he added.
Meanwhile, Ofir Zemer, Vice President, Product Management, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc, said the suite employs advanced artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) capabilities to reduce carrier’s operational costs and simplify complex network management.
“This aligns well with Indosat’s broader digital transformation goals by providing a robust and flexible AI-fueled solution for network management and optimization,” he added.
According to the statement, a vital aspect of this project’s implementation has been the close collaboration with PT Lintas Teknologi Indonesia.
Leveraging their extensive expertise in network integration and digital transformation within Indonesia, PT Lintas Teknologi Indonesia has played a key role in this deployment.
As Indosat and Qualcomm Technologies continue to deepen their collaboration, the deployment of the Dragonwing RAN Automation Suite sets a new benchmark for AI-driven innovation in Indonesia’s telecommunications landscape, said the statement.
This commitment to intelligent, efficient, and future-ready network management reaffirms both companies’ leadership in shaping the next era of digital connectivity.
The ongoing collaboration looks to unlock even greater capabilities, delivering robust, high-quality experiences to customers and driving the nation’s progress toward a smarter, more connected future, it added.
