Univers, the global technology firm for energy, and SBS Transit, Singapore’s leading public transport operator, announced Wednesday a strategic partnership agreement to develop the SBS Transit Energy and Operations AI Platform that will redefine how energy and operations are managed and optimized across SBS Transit.

Univers said in a statement that by applying its artificial intelligence (AI) and internet of things (IoT) technologies, SBS Transit will be able to connect and analyze data across its bus and rail facilities, improving how assets and systems are monitored, controlled and maintained.

This will enhance operational and energy efficiency, in support of broader decarbonization efforts.

“This collaboration builds on our ongoing efforts to empower enterprises globally with AI and IoT capabilities,

“As a Singapore headquartered company, we’re proud to work with SBS Transit on a multi-year AI-driven transformation of energy and operations. The innovations we build here will deliver real impact for the public transport sector in Singapore, and ultimately, the rest of the world,” said Chun Yin Mak, Global Senior Vice President of Univers.

The partnership will also leverage Univers’ recently announced Global Impact AI Lab to incubate and accelerate new innovations for the transport sector, advancing AI-driven solutions across energy and beyond that can be scaled from Singapore to other regions.
