J&T Global Express Limited, an Indonesia-based integrated logistics service operator, announced last Thursday the official launch of its “J&T Express Greater Bay Area Digital Supply Chain Industrial Park” in China.

Operational as of October 30, 2025, this facility is the firm’s largest self-built logistics hub worldwide, spanning 65 acres with a total gross floor area of 320,000 square meters, and features a sorting capacity of over 15 million parcels per day, the firm said in a statement.

This strategic investment marks a significant step for J&T Express in expanding its national network and enhancing comprehensive service capabilities, particularly in supporting e-commerce logistics across Southern China and the Greater Bay Area.

The Industrial Park is expected to play a crucial role during the upcoming “Double 11” shopping festival, alleviating peak season logistics pressure.

It will substantially increase regional parcel processing capacity and fulfilment efficiency, providing merchants and consumers with more reliable and stable express delivery services.

The J&T Express Greater Bay Area Industrial Park operates on a “smart-driven, technology-enabled” philosophy, integrating advanced automated cross-belt sorting systems for fully automated parcel handling.

Its multi-layered design optimizes space utilization, increasing sorting efficiency per unit area by 87 percent.

During peak logistics periods, the system can adapt intelligent sorting strategies within ten minutes based on real-time data, boosting overall operational efficiency by approximately 30 percent.

The facility features extensive deployment of automated equipment, including NC cross-belt sorters, achieving an automation coverage rate of about 90 percent.

Nearly 40 kilometers of automated assembly lines work in conjunction with almost 400 telescopic conveyors, ensuring a parcel sorting accuracy rate of up to 99.98 percent.

Leveraging internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) visual recognition, and big data algorithms, the system provides intelligent monitoring and dynamic scheduling across the entire logistics chain, guaranteeing a continuous operation rate exceeding 99.5 percent.

The Industrial Park’s functional layout includes dedicated zones for inbound and outbound operations, a J&T Cloud Warehouse, office spaces, and talent accommodation, creating a comprehensive ecosystem for warehousing, transit, work, and living.

The nearly 50,000-square-meter cloud warehouse, integrated with the operational zones, offers a “warehouse-delivery integrated” e-commerce logistics solution.

This significantly reduces the time from goods dispatch to transit to mere minutes, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in e-commerce warehousing and distribution, cross-border logistics, and supply chain fulfilment.

According to the statement, J&T Express has incorporated green and environmental protection principles throughout the Industrial Park’s construction and operation.

In collaboration with China Southern Power Grid, the park features a 6-megawatt distributed photovoltaic project, with solar panels covering nearly 30,000 square meters.

This initiative is projected to generate 7.1 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, offsetting approximately 4,100 tons of greenhouse gas emissions.

Additionally, the Industrial Park adopts the “sponge city” concept, implementing an ecological rainwater management system for natural accumulation, infiltration, and purification.

Collected rainwater is reused for landscaping and road cleaning within the park, conserving water resources.

Combined with other energy-saving measures, such as recyclable transfer bags and air-source water heaters, J&T Express said it aims to establish the Industrial Park as a leading green and low-carbon benchmark in the industry.

Since its entry into the Chinese market, J&T Express has pursued a long-term strategy of continuous investment in critical regional logistics infrastructure.

The completion of the J&T Express Greater Bay Area Digital Supply Chain Industrial Park is a pivotal step in solidifying the firm’s national network and enhancing its comprehensive service offerings.

Moving forward, the firm said it will leverage this strategic hub to further strengthen its service capabilities in the Greater Bay Area, contributing to regional economic integration and industrial chain collaboration, and delivering more efficient and higher-quality logistics services to its customers.
