Asia Mobiliti, a Malaysia-based mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) technology company, and Theoremus, an intelligent transport systems (ITS) firm headquartered in Bulgaria, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly explore and develop opportunities in the transportation sector across Asia and Eastern Europe.

Asia Mobiliti said in a statement that the partnership marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration focused on leveraging data, technology, and innovation to strengthen the efficiency, sustainability, and connectivity of public transport systems.

The partnership brings together Asia Mobiliti’s expertise in digital mobility platforms and Theoremus’ strength in transport data and intelligent systems.

Together, the two companies will explore new ways to apply intelligent analytics, predictive technologies, and open data principles to improve transport planning, fleet management, and passenger experience across diverse urban and regional contexts.

The collaboration was strategically developed and executed by WIPPD, under the leadership of Managing Director Raj Mendhir, as part of the firm’s commitment to delivering strategic growth and on-the-ground execution for global companies expanding into Malaysia.

This partnership builds on Theoremus’ strategic expansion from the United Kingdom and Europe to Malaysia and the ASEAN region, leveraging a shared vision of innovation, interoperability, and digital integration.

“This partnership with Theoremus brings together complementary strengths – our experience in building digital mobility ecosystems across Southeast Asia, and their deep technical expertise in intelligent transport systems,

“By combining these capabilities, we can help cities and operators make data-driven decisions, optimize fleet performance, and deliver better passenger experiences,” said Ramachandran Muniandy, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Asia Mobiliti.

He added for Asia Mobiliti, this is about scaling smarter mobility through collaboration that bridges continents.

Hristo Popov, Chief Executive Officer at Theoremus, said they see tremendous potential in this collaboration with Asia Mobiliti.

According to him, the firm’s focus has always been on creating interoperable, open systems that empower transport authorities and operators to innovate with flexibility.

“Working with Asia Mobiliti allows us to bring those principles into fast-growing ASEAN markets, where technology adoption is rapid and the appetite for smarter, sustainable mobility is strong,

“Together, we’re building a bridge between Europe’s transport technologies and Asia’s dynamic urban ecosystems,” he added.

This MoU reflects both companies’ commitment to shaping the next generation of transport systems, ones that prioritise accessibility, environmental responsibility, and the seamless movement of people and data.

The partnership underscores Asia Mobiliti’s ongoing mission to drive regional innovation and expand global collaboration in support of smarter, more connected cities, said the statement.
