FLOW Digital Infrastructure (FLOW), a Singapore-based data center developer and operator in Asia Pacific, has appointed Ken Marron as Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately.

Marron will be based in Tokyo, leading the company’s technology function across the region, FLOW said in a statement on Monday.

Marron brings over 30 years of extensive construction and architecture experience across Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Europe within the Data Center and real estate sectors.

Prior to FLOW, he was the General Manager of the Data Center business at CapitaLand (Japan).

He has held several leadership positions at Data Center developers and operators, including NEXTDC and Yondr, and has been based in Japan working on Data Centers since 2001.

Before moving to Japan, Marron worked for Takenaka Komuten for 10 years in London on projects across Europe.

FLOW, which is backed by PAG, an Asia Pacific (APAC)-focused investment firm, recently announced the build-out of its new data center in the Central Tokyo area.

The new data center consists of two buildings, named TK7 and TK8, with a combined information technology (IT) load of 30 megawatt (MW).

The first building – TK7 with 6MW IT load – targets to be ready for service in the first quarter of 2027.

Since its establishment in 2021, FLOW has built a portfolio of eleven assets across Japan, Korea, Philippines and Malaysia with over 193MW of current and planned IT capacity.
