Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison announced Wednesday that SheHacks 2025, a program aimed at empowering Indonesian women with digital skills and closing the gender gap in technology and digital entrepreneurship, has already recorded over 17,000 women participants this year, with registration set to close on June 30.

The firm said in a statement that since its official launch on 25 April 2025, SheHacks 2025 has attracted women community leaders, entrepreneurs, and female-led micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from across Indonesia to join the program.

SheHacks aims to empower women by providing training in digital skills and fostering an ecosystem that supports innovation and female entrepreneurship.

This year’s programme officially kicked off in Jayapura with SheHacks Innovate, a two-day intensive workshop for around 90 women entrepreneurs.

These women received hands-on training on digital branding, content marketing strategies, app-based financial management, and business presentation development using the Business Model Canvas (BMC).

Designed to help women entrepreneurs grow sustainable and competitive businesses in the digital age, SheHacks Innovate will select top participants from each city to advance to the “Top 5 MSMEs” stage, where they will receive advanced online mentoring from industry experts.

This year, women who are interested in developing themselves and their businesses still have the opportunity to register until 30 June 2025 via the official SheHacks website, as the program continues to expand its reach across Indonesian cities.

As part of its broader digital inclusion effort, SheHacks 2025 also features SheConnect Champion—a startup pitching competition held in Bandung, Aceh, and Banjarmasin for women tech founders.

A total of 11 participants pitched their innovative business solutions before a panel of investors and industry practitioners, competing for access to the Top 12 MVPs, the next stage in their entrepreneurial journey.

“SheHacks is more than just a program—it’s a grassroots movement,” said Irsyad Sahroni, Director and Chief Human Resource Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.

“We want women from Jayapura to Nias to have equal access to digital opportunities and tangible support to realize their full potential,

“This is part of our broader mission to empower the nation through inclusive technology,” he added.

In June, SheHacks continued its journey through strategic cities such as Ambon, Nias, Aceh, and Banjarmasin—regions with strong potential yet in need of greater digital access.

In July, the program is set to reach even more participants in Banyuwangi and Pamekasan, extending support to more women entrepreneurs and local innovators.

As of mid-June, SheHacks 2025 has recorded 17,040 ideation participants, 342 MVP-level participants, and 25 female regional guide candidates.

Indosat reminds the public that registration will close on June 30, 2025 — the final opportunity for Indonesian women to elevate their digital business potential and join this collaborative movement for inclusive digital economic growth.

Through SheHacks 2025, Indosat reaffirms its commitment to empowering Indonesian women by providing access to digital skills and fostering a collaborative ecosystem that supports continuous innovation.

Over the past five years, the program has engaged more than 34,000 women across Indonesia, generating innovative ideas that have driven positive change.

SheHacks not only enhances individual capacity but also strengthens women’s role in Indonesia’s digital economy, with impact reaching even the most remote areas.

In line with the company’s broader goal of empowering Indonesia, Indosat continues to deliver relevant and inclusive digital solutions to accelerate the creation of a tech-savvy, economically resilient society that can compete on a global scale.
