Global aerospace and defense company Airbus, Singapore’s telecommunications firm M1 Limited and digital radio services firm CitiCall Communications have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to introduce Agnet, a next-generation, state-of-the-art mission-critical communication application, to the Singapore market.

This collaboration marks a milestone in advancing secure and reliable communications for public safety and enterprise sectors in the city-state, Airbus said in a statement on Tuesday.

Under this partnership, Airbus will bring its globally trusted Agnet platform – an innovative solution that offers secure push-to-talk (PTT), push-to-video (PTV), as well as real-time messaging and location services over broadband networks, while M1 will leverage True 5G services for providing secure and reliable connectivity.

Meanwhile, CitiCall is the Singapore authorized reseller of the Agnet application, ensuring market penetration and customer support.

Designed for seamless and efficient mission-critical communications, Agnet ensures enhanced operational coordination, safety, and efficiency for various industries, including public safety and defense, transportation, and critical infrastructure operators.

According to the statement, the launch of Agnet in Singapore aligns with the nation’s Smart Nation initiative, reinforcing the country’s efforts to integrate digital solutions across public services and industries.

“As Agnet’s local reseller, CitiCall is excited to bring this cutting-edge solution to Singapore, equipping businesses and public safety agencies with a secure and reliable communication platform,” said Francis Ng, Chief Executive Officer of CitiCall.

It is noted that Airbus has successfully deployed Agnet in multiple countries (in Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific), supporting first responders, law enforcement agencies, defense stakeholders and critical industries worldwide.
