Tyme Group, the multi-country digital banking group headquartered in Singapore with over 15 million customers in Africa and South-East Asia, has announced that Aaron Foo, Tyme’s and GoTyme Bank’s Chief Strategy Officer, will be taking on a new role as Tyme’s Chief Product Officer.
The firm said in a statement on Wednesday that in his new role, Foo will oversee product development for Tyme Group, covering both the digital banks.
It is noted that the firm had recently announced its Series D capital raise of $250 million, led by Nubank and with M&G Catalyst, propelling the firm to be Singapore’s newest unicorn.
Foo was one of the standout contributors to the capital raise.
His dedication, vision, and relentless work ethic have been instrumental in securing the raise.
Foo, who joined the group in 2019, has also been instrumental in shaping Tyme’s strategy and product innovation, contributing to its growth and expansion into new markets.
Prior to joining Tyme, he was in strategy roles both at Commonwealth Bank of Australia and McKinsey.
“As he steps into his new role as Chief Product Officer, I want to take a moment to commend him on this well-deserved achievement,
“His unwavering commitment and the immense value he brings to the team have made all the difference”, said Tyme Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Coen Jonker.
