FLock.io, a community-driven platform for federated learning on blockchain, has partnered Animoca Brands, the company driving digital property rights via non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and gaming to build the open metaverse, to explore co-creation opportunities for domain-specific AI models using FLock.io’s training platform and protocol.
Animoca Brands said in a statement on last Friday that the duo have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The collaboration is envisaged to leverage FLock.io’s privacy-preserving AI training infrastructure to develop four specialized AI models for Animoca Brands, focusing on facilitating due diligence, investment, market-making, and operational support, it said.
FLock.io combines federated learning with blockchain to enable participants to collaboratively train and validate machine learning models without sharing raw data.
Through its AI Arena, FL Alliance, and AI Marketplace, FLock.io creates a decentralized ecosystem that empowers data privacy, incentivizes collaboration, and builds a community-driven AI environment. FLock.io’s platform features token-based incentives and robust security protocols, ensuring model accuracy and collaboration integrity.
Through the collaboration, Animoca Brands intends to use FLock.io’s infrastructure to train models for its internal use to enhance blockchain applications while maintaining user privacy and data sovereignty.
Combining Animoca Brands’ industry expertise with FLock.io’s blockchain-based federated learning, the two companies aim to create specialized models that are decentralized and preserve data integrity.
The collaboration highlights FLock.io’s capability to streamline the decentralized AI production cycle, from training to deployment, on a unified platform that enhances transparency and reduces data privacy concerns.
“We look forward to collaborating with FLock.io to leverage its innovative federated learning platform to advance Web3 technologies while prioritizing user privacy and data sovereignty,
“We believe that the collaboration can help integrate privacy-preserving AI solutions in the open metaverse, potentially unlocking new possibilities for decentralized applications and user experiences in the Web3 ecosystem,” said Yat Siu, Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Animoca Brands.
Vincent Wang, Chief Financial Officer of FLock.io, commented Animoca Brands is a leading Web3 company with extensive coverage across its product lines.
“We are thrilled to enter into a MoU for this partnership and deploy four distinct training tasks on our platform. We are confident that our community and platform will deliver best-in-class models while ensuring that Animoca Brands’ primary data remains local,
“This collaboration with Animoca Brands represents a significant step forward for our FLock.io community and underscores our strong product-market fit as a decentralized AI company,” he added.
