Komerce, a technology company providing end-to-end solutions for e-commerce businesses in Indonesia, has announced the acquisition of RajaOngkir, a leading platform for real-time shipping cost calculation and application programming interfaces (API) integration.

Komerce said in a statement on last Thursday that this merger strengthens Komerce’s position as a major contender in the e-commerce enabler industry in Indonesia.

RajaOngkir, which has been downloaded more than 5 million times on Playstore and is used by thousands of companies through API integration, is expected to expand the reach and improve the efficiency of logistics services offered by Komerce, it said.

According to the statement, the merger of RajaOngkir is a strategic move by Komerce to provide more comprehensive and integrated solutions to its clients, particularly for large enterprises or brands requiring API integration to manage their product shipments.

By combining the strengths of both companies, Komerce can now offer a more complete end-to-end solution.

Previously, Komerce had provided the Komship shipping aggregator service to end-users with over 10,000 users.

Now, it will focus more on the enterprise or brand segment with more seamless API integration, including shipping cost checks, package pick-up, delivery management, and cash on delivery (COD).

“The merger with RajaOngkir is an important step for Komerce to continue growing and evolving, particularly in sharpening our strategy and penetration in the shipping and logistics sectors,” said Nofi Bayu Darmawan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Komerce.

“With RajaOngkir now part of the Komerce ecosystem, we are even closer to our vision of becoming a trusted partner for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or brands looking to enter the e-commerce industry in Indonesia,

“We believe that with more complete and integrated solutions, we can help our clients achieve greater success,” he added.

Meanwhile, Damar Riyadi, Founder of RajaOngkir, said that with the resources and network Komerce has, they are confident that RajaOngkir will excel further in developing
API-based shipping technology integration for their clients and driving the growth of the e-commerce industry in Indonesia.

Komerce was founded in 2020 by Nofi Bayu Darmawan along with Co-founders Syaefullah Syeif (Chief Operating Officer) and Satriyo Budi Utomo (Chief Technology Officer), who joined as co-founders in 2021.
