Amilo, a Singapore-based logistics firm, has on Thursday announced its acquisition of Sivadon Logistics in Thailand.
Amilo said in a statement that this acquisition marks a significant milestone in the firm’s growth journey.
Renowned for its comprehensive nationwide logistics network in Thailand, it said Sivadon Logistics is set to bolster Amilo’s existing operational capabilities and network.
“Thailand is pivotal for us as we support our customers expanding within one of Asia’s most dynamic regions.
“The acquisition of Sivadon Logistics provides us with an extensive network and a stellar team, enhancing our ability to not only help international brands enter Thailand but also support Thai small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to go global with our already established cross border products,” said Arun Mambully, Chief Executive Officer of Amilo.
According to the statement, Amilo’s ultimate mission is to enable Southeast Asia (SEA) as a unified market by providing a strong operations-first logistics platform, built for the region. With initial focus on Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and now Thailand the company provides seamless access to warehousing and fulfilment, local transportation & delivery and international expansion through its cross border delivery services.
“We are excited to join forces with Amilo. This acquisition marks a new chapter for Sivadon Logistics, allowing us to leverage Amilo’s extensive network,
“We look forward to continuing our legacy of exceptional service for customers in Thailand and helping new international brands succeed in the vibrant Thai market,” said Sivadon’s Managing Director Tananun Chatiyanonda.
In a few months, the company will launch its cross border services in Thailand – a platform that they launched in 2022 with an exclusive partnership with Belgium Post’s Landmark Group.
This platform will also get a new upgrade in September including additional cross border partnerships, new price comparison features and upgraded dashboards.
Looking Ahead, Amilo said it continues to look for more merger and acquisition (M&A) targets for established and profitable enterprises.
It said these strategic acquisitions are instrumental in modernizing and innovating the regions’ logistics sector, while preserving a robust foundation of proven operational success.
It is noted that this recent acquisition is the third for Amilo in its short two-year history and marks the beginning of a series of strategic initiatives designed to establish Amilo as a leading player in the SEA logistics industry.
With a majority of the full-service logistics players in SEA being internationally built, Amilo said it sees a unique opportunity to become the regions’ first home-grown full service logistics integrator.
With a warehouse network of more than 20 warehouses and a fleet of more than 100 trucks, the company said it is already on its way of achieving the first goals of its network expansion plan.
“There are many amazingly well managed, locally built small logistics companies in SEA and they are looking for opportunities to become international while leveraging on modern technology to increase efficiency,
“We are excited to partner with such companies,” said Mambully.
With a strong network in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and an exclusive partnership with Belgium Post’s Landmark Group, Amilo said it has already served more than a 100 customers across these markets.
