UnaBiz, a Singapore-based massive internet of things (IoT) service provider and integrator, has announced the successful first close of its $25 million pre-series C funding with participation from KDDI Open Innovation Fund 3 (KOIF III) and KYOCERA Communication Systems Co., Ltd (KCCS).

This capital injection follows UnaBiz’s successful acquisition and integration of Sigfox 0G technology, which now operates with a healthy and profitable profit and loss statement thanks to continued revenue growth and streamlined operations, Una Biz said in a statement on Thursday.

According to the statement, the fresh funds will be used to support the strategies of security industry growth, deepening logistics and supply chain market penetration and utilities expansion with hybridation.

It is noted that n the last one year, UnaBiz has connected an additional 1 million devices in the security industry.

The firm is now investing in partnerships with major automobile and motorbike manufacturers to scale its telemetry and anti-jamming services globally.

The firm is also expanding on the recent success of its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered WiFi-geolocation services, and is targeting use cases such as pallets and parcel tracing.

The firm is also accelerating its market-share in the gas
and water utility segment with additional hybrid solutions leveraging multi-tech network technologies.

It is noted that in two years, UnaBiz added 4 million new devices to the global 0G Network, making it the single largest unlicensed LPWAN network globally.
