Animoca Brands Japan, a strategic subsidiary of Animoca Brands, has on Monday announced that it entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. to strengthen global marketing of SYMBIOGENESIS, SQUARE ENIX’s game and associated collection of 10,000 non-fungible token (NFT) characters with game utility.

Animoca Brands Japan said in a statement that it will support the global expansion of SYMBIOGENESIS via its market-leading expertise and relationships, as well as promote collaboration opportunities across Animoca Brands’ portfolio of over 400 Web3 companies.

SYMBIOGENESIS is a NFT-based entertainment project by SQUARE ENIX, the Japan-based entertainment company that created the “Final Fantasy” series, the “Kingdom Hearts” series, and other globally popular RPGs. SYMBIOGENESIS is a high fantasy world devastated by 10,000 NFT game characters.

In addition to using the SYMBIOGENESIS NFTs as avatars (PFPs) and to interact with a dedicated community, the NFTs are also used to access the SYMBIOGENESIS game, which features a high level of gameplay in which players can progress through the main story and missions of the SYMBIOGENESIS game and unlock the secrets of its fantasy world.

Animoca Brands Japan said it will support SYMBIOGENESIS by providing its expertise in the overseas expansion of Japanese projects, global NFT sales and marketing activities, and by promoting collaboration opportunities to Animoca Brands’ large network of portfolio companies and partners.

In addition, Animoca Brands Japan will support SYMBIOGENESIS NFT sales and global marketing on the upcoming NFT Launchpad by Animoca Brands Japan.
