Malaysia-based motorcycle platform for buying and selling pre-owned motorcycles iMotorbike has launches three-storey grand Glenmarie showroom and forged partnership with Selangor Technical Skills Development Center (STDC) to empower the state youth.

IMotorbike said in a statement on last Friday that the grand unveiling of its expansive new showroom in Glenmarie, Shah Alam took its expansion to the next gear.

Spanning three floors and covering an area of 46,806 square feet, the showroom can accommodate up to more than 1500 motorcycles.

Established in 2017, iMotorbike began its journey in a modest apartment before rapidly expanding to a 3,000-square-foot store in Petaling Jaya, leading to the culmination of this latest showroom.

Offering a seamless online motorcycle buying experience, the platform ensures quality through 170 inspection points and 6-day return, 6-month warranty, along with nationwide delivery.

It is noted that the innovative technology company has added additional value-added consumer services such as bundled finance, road tax, and insurance options.

This pairs well with up-to-date motorbike news and the opportunity to view and test-drive motorbikes from one of the largest selections in the country.

“We are excited to launch our brand new landmark showroom in Shah Alam that is the first of its kind in Malaysia,

“We have one of the largest selections of pre-owned motorbikes on display for our customers to cater to the increasing demand for quality vehicles and service,” said Gil Carmo, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of iMotorbike.

According to him, the showroom also shows the firm’s continued commitment to helping build the pre-owned market in Malaysia and providing a trusted platform for both buyers and sellers.

It is noted that iMotorbike has achieved impressive financial success, generating over MYR 28 million ($5.93 million) of annualized revenue.

The company’s success has attracted the attention of prominent investors, including Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB), making iMotorbike the first portfolio company to receive investment from PNSB.

This strategic partnership signifies the state government’s recognition of iMotorbike’s potential and contribution to the state’s economic development.

With a strong presence in Malaysia and Vietnam, the launch of the new showroom represents a significant milestone for the company, reaffirming its dedication to delivering an
exceptional experience for its customers.

In a move towards fostering local talent and advancing the motorbike industry, the launch event also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between
iMotorbike and the STDC to empower the education and youth development of Selangor.

“The Selangor government always supports initiatives that equip our young generation with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the workforce,

“This MOU with iMotorbike is a shining example of such collaboration, fostering a unique training program that empowers students, bolsters our technical industries, and ultimately fuels the state’s economic growth,” stated Nazri bin Noh, Chairman of STDC.

According to the statement, the collaboration allows STDC students and graduates 16 years old and above to pursue specialized motorbike technician certifications, paving the way for rewarding careers in the industry.

Not only that, the partnership also leverages the resources of the Selangor tech space, further amplifying the state’s focus on tech education and innovation.

“PNSB, as a state-linked entity, stands apart from conventional venture capital firms,

”Our unique position allows us to act as a bridge between startups and the state apparatus. The MOU signing exemplifies this commitment,” said Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar, Chief Executive Officer of PNSB.

With a shared commitment to youth development and technological advancement, he said this MOU paves the way for a more innovative and empowered Selangor.

Amirudin Shari, Menteri Besar of Selangor, also said that such initiatives not only contribute to the state’s economic growth but also empower its youths to become leaders in their respective fields.

IMotorbike said it believes that everyone deserves a chance to excel, regardless of their academic background.

Through this program, it said the firm will equip young minds with the skills and opportunities they need to find fulfilling careers and contribute to Selangor’s thriving tech and innovation landscape.

They are also offering special discounts to Selangor residents to make motorcycle ownership more accessible, fostering a passion for biking within the community.
