Netherlands-based investment firm Orient Growth Ventures announced Thursday that it has completed the fund raising for its second fund with commitments of $90 million.

The newest fund, Orient Growth Fund II, is substantially larger than Orient Growth Fund I (USD 25 million), which was raised in 2020, the firm said in a statement.

According to the statement, the successful raise for Orient Growth Fund II is attributable to the remarkable economic resilience of India and Southeast Asia, fueled by their favorable demographic and socioeconomic trends, and rapidly increasing digital adoption.

It is noted that Orient Growth Fund II is backed by both existing and new Limited Partners (LPs), including European high-net-worth individuals, (tech) entrepreneurs, and family offices across Europe and Singapore.
