Singapore-based healthcare company Doctor Anywhere (DA) has announced the opening of its flagship health screening and imaging center, DA MedSuites.

As the company’s premier one-stop medical facility in Singapore, DA MedSuites represents the latest milestone in its mission to deliver quality, comprehensive healthcare in the region, DA said in a statement on Friday.

Situated in Orchard Road, the state-of-the-art medical center centralizes health screening and medical imaging services in a single location, providing a level of comprehensive care and convenience akin to hospitals.

This integrated model makes screenings convenient, fast and accessible, underscoring DA’s commitment to setting new standards in patient-centered care.

Adopting a holistic approach, DA MedSuites will go beyond health screenings by offering education and empowerment through food and nutrition masterclasses, as well as community health initiatives aimed at fostering overall well-being.

According to the statement, Singapore faces challenges ahead with its ageing population and the rising prevalence of chronic illnesses, which are projected to triple healthcare costs to approximately SGD 27 billion ($20 billion) by 2030.

It noted there is a need to transition from reactive care to proactive measures aimed at ensuring individuals are less vulnerable to illnesses by encouraging them to reshape their health-seeking behaviors and lifestyles.

“The shift from treating symptoms to preventing disease is crucial,

“By seamlessly integrating convenience, advanced technology, and a holistic well-being approach, we aim to empower individuals to proactively manage their health through early detection and preventive measures against critical and chronic illnesses,” said Lim Wai Mun, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of DA.

It is noted that a 12,000 square feet facility located in COMO Orchard, DA MedSuites offers a comprehensive health screenings that go beyond routine health examinations, such as screenings for cancer and lifestyle diseases, cardiovascular assessments and fertility tests.

It also offers personalized care – in-depth health report, one-on-one consultations with healthcare professionals, and dedicated health concierge service; 17 private pods and three VIP suites in a sophisticated and serene environment designed for optimal comfort and privacy; advanced diagnostic imaging services including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs and Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD); on-site food and nutrition masterclasses and community health initiatives designed to educate and empower individuals by encouraging the adoption of sustainable, healthy dietary, and lifestyle habits.

Inaugurating the opening of DA Orchard MedSuites was Minister for National Development and Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration, Desmond Lee, who shared in his foreword that the new health screening center affirms DA’s commitment to providing holistic and quality healthcare services.

As Singapore’s healthcare sector continues to evolve, he noted that industry stalwarts like DA will play a critical role in serving the healthcare needs of Singaporeans.

In deepening its services in preventive healthcare, DA said it aimed to drive a greater impact on individual well-being and the broader community.

It said the launch of DA MedSuites not only aligns with the national health agenda and supports initiatives like Healthier SG but also signifies a forward-looking approach to healthcare, paving the way towards a sustainable and resilient future.

“Our technology-driven approach and focus on harnessing innovative technologies to enhance healthcare delivery will see us progressively introducing Gen-AI solutions across all of DA’s healthcare services and solutions, with the overarching goal of elevating healthcare outcomes in the region,” said Lim.

It is noted that DA recently announced a $40.8 million Series C1 extension round last December, from investors including Square Peg and Novo Holdings.

The additional capital injection is slated to accelerate next-generation healthcare innovation within the company and strengthen its presence in secondary care.

This brings its total investments since inception to more than $180 million.
