Animoca Brands Japan, a strategic subsidiary of Animoca Brands Corporation Limited (Animoca Brands), announced Tuesday a collaboration with Honda Motor Co., Ltd (Honda), Gryfyn and GET Protocol for Web3 fan engagement in Japan.
Animoca Brands said in a statement that the firms have partnered to gift fans and participants membership non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and limited-edition commemorative NFTs at the FORMULA 1™ Honda & Red Bull Welcome Event in Tokyo to be held at Zepp Shinjuku (Tokyo) in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo on September 20, 2023, and at the Honda booth at the Japanese Grand Prix 2023 to be held at the Suzuka Circuit on September 21-24, 2023.
According to the statement, Honda plans to offer special experiences and perks at various future events to holders of Honda KEY NFTs, including through special collaborations with various companies.
Initially, Honda will distribute Honda KEY NFTs to all fans who apply for the lottery to purchase tickets to the FORMULA 1™ Honda & Red bull Welcome Event in Tokyo, a special event organized by Honda. Event attendees will receive a commemorative NFT, to be airdropped to ticket-holders after the event.
In addition, Honda KEY NFTs and other special items will be available for redemption by fans visiting the Honda booth at the 2023 F1 Japanese Grand Prix at the Suzuka Circuit.
Animoca Brands Japan and Gryfyn, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands and a Web3 wallet focused on connecting brands and communities, previously announced a collaboration with Honda to further fans engagement in Honda’s motorsports portfolio.
Honda is also working closely with Animoca Brands Japan on Honda’s Web3 fans strategy, with Gryfyn as wallet partner to host the Honda KEY NFT.
