Gojek has on Monday announced that its on-demand food delivery feature, GoFood, is now available on the MoMo platform, in a partnership that continues to leverage the extensive and comprehensive synergies between Gojek and MoMo.

Gojek said in a statement that this makes Gojek the first platform company in Vietnam to offer its on-demand food delivery feature on MoMo.

According to the statement, through this partnership, MoMo users in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city can now explore and enjoy the millions of affordable food options available on Gojek’s GoFood feature, from tens of thousands of merchants.

Without having to leave the MoMo platform, but still remaining integrated within the Gojek ecosystem, users can also browse for their favorite food items, place, and pay for their order using MoMo.

Users will also have access to functions like order tracking, and order history, among others, when using the GoFood feature on MoMo.

According to the statement, the partnership will also enable Gojek to tap into MoMo’s ecosystem of tens of millions users, as well as providing GoFood merchants with access to additional earning opportunities and advertising potential.

It said Gojek driver-partners can also benefit from increased earnings opportunities driven by reaching new users.

According to him, not only will the GoFood feature on MoMo provide a new way for users to access food delivery features, it also bolsters the bond between GoFood and MoMo users when they are able to experience fast, transparent and seamless ordering and payment on the same application.

Meanwhile, Gojek Vietnam General Manager Sumit Rathor said the introduction of Gojek’s GoFood feature on MoMo is an exciting step, and enables more users to conveniently access the firm’s on-demand food delivery offering.

“In doing so we hope to bring more choice and greater value to consumers allowing them to easily explore and order affordable food items on MoMo,

Gojek is GoTo Group’s on-demand services platform and a firm of the multi-service ecosystem model, providing access to a wide range of services including transportation, food delivery, logistics and more.

The company was first established in 2010 focusing on courier and motorcycle ride-hailing services, before launching its app in January 2015 in Indonesia.

Since then, Gojek has grown to become the leading on-demand platform in Indonesia, with additional operations in Vietnam and Singapore.

The Gojek platform now comprises over 2.7 million driver partners across the region.

Gojek is part of the GoTo Group, the largest digital ecosystem in Indonesia, consisting of Gojek, Tokopedia and GoTo Financial.

MoMo is a Vietnamese Fintech unicorn, provides super-app and payment service.

Its super app platform is used by millions of users and merchants.

The firm has over 2,000 employees and is headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City with offices in Hanoi and Danang.
