United Kingdom-based metaverse and blockchain games studio Emergent Entertainment (Emergent) has partnered Hong Kong-based gaming firm Animoca Brands to to advance development of Resurgence, the upcoming survival MMORPG.

Animoca Brands said in a statement that both parties have signed a strategic advisory agreement for the partnership.

According to the statement, Animoca Brands will collaborate closely with Emergent on the development of Resurgence, providing support and advisory services across key areas including but not limited to the governance, tokenomics, business strategy, strategic partnership development and marketing of the survival-focused MMORPG.

Resurgence is an AAA free-to-play post-apocalyptic open-world crafting survival game that will be powered by blockchain technology.

Emergent recently announced that the game will be launched on the Immutable X platform, which provides advanced scaling capabilities and a carbon-neutral, zero gas fee environment while maintaining the robust security and decentralized qualities of Ethereum.
