Indonesia borne venture capital firm Alpha JWC Ventures (Alpha JWC) has announced strategic partnerships formed with Google Asia Pacific (APAC), integrated global communications agency The Hoffman Agency and regional content house Hepmil Creators Network as knowledge partners.

The partnerships aim to extend and expand Alpha JWC’s network support to its portfolio founders across Southeast Asia to receive the best in class trainings, workshops, and consultancy from subject matter experts in marketing, branding, technology, digital, and content creation, Alpha JWC said in a statement.

Part of its recently launched Alpha-X initiative that seeks to increase Alpha JWC’s portfolio founders’ chances of success through upskilling, enablement and support, the regional partnerships will also give startups access to competitive services rates through Alpha JWC.

“We look forward to bringing the best of Google through adoption of our products, technology and insights to grow Alpha JWC’s portfolio business,

“And to support the partnership and help startups in their early stages, the Google for Startups Cloud Program offers technical, business
and financial support, including up to $200,000 of Cloud credits over 2 years for startups that have received funding up to and including Series A,” said Kiran Bapna, Head of Venture Capital and Startup Partnerships, Southeast Asia and Michael Langford, Head of Venture Capital and Startup Ecosystem JAPAC, Google Cloud.

Aside to trainings and workshops pertaining to platforms and technologies, another area of focus is helping Alpha JWCs portfolio founders develop their brand stories and raising awareness and reach.

This is especially important for early stage founders still needing to define their brand strategies on a tighter budget and resource, according to the statement.

“At Hepmil Media Group, we are excited to partner Alpha JWC Ventures in bringing our marketing solutions to help portfolio companies maximise their brand and reach amongst the Gen Z and Millennials,

“We are especially excited for the co-creation of innovative campaigns that will unlock tremendous opportunities for value creation” said Karl Mak, Chief Executive Officer, Hepmil Media Group.

The Hoffman Agency Singapore and Indonesia General Manager Maureen Tseng said :”Having worked closely with start-ups in Southeast Asia, I am thrilled that The Hoffman Agency is partnering with Alpha JWC Ventures to equip their portfolio companies with the tools to tell their brand story.”

“Our roots are in the Silicon Valley, so building brand equity for tech and start- ups is something we specialise in. With the level of innovation, energy and optimism that I am seeing on the ground in Indonesia, I am excited about the stories we can help to unearth that
will move the needle and solve business problems,” she added.

As Alpha JWC Ventures continues to invest in great founders, it recognizes and embraces the active role it has to play to help and support its portfolio founders.

“Founders face immense challenges running their startups and funding itself is not enough to help them succeed or navigate the ups and downs in their journeys,” said Erika Go, Value Creation Partner, Alpha JWC Ventures.

“We strongly believe that we need to do more than capital injection, and henceforth have launched the Alpha-X initiative and tapped into our vast network of partners to work with us to enable our portfolio founders and their teams in critical areas where they would need the most support,

“We will continue to onboard more partners in the coming months to complement other areas of knowledge and skillsets that would greatly benefit our founders,” she added.
