VinFast, Vietnam’s global electric vehicle (EV) maker, will make Netherlands debut with EV models VF 8 & VF 9.
The firm said in a statement it will participate in The EV Experience 2022 in the Netherlands between September 23 and 25.
This will be VinFast’s public premiere in the Netherlands, offering the Dutch an opportunity to witness and experience in-person premium EV models VF 8 & VF 9, together with remarkable advanced technologies featured on them.
The EV Experience is a gathering place for leading EV companies, charging solution providers and also an occasion for consumers to try out new EV models.
The event, held in the Netherlands’ famous Circuit Zandvoort motorsport race track, is expected to attract more than 100 firms in electromobility and about 7,500 attendees.
VinFast said it will bring its first two electric sport utility vehicles (SUVs), VF 8 and VF 9, to this year’s EV Experience to allow European and Dutch consumers to explore and experience smart technology features that connect EV to all aspects of life, including working, shopping, and entertaining on the go.
At VinFast’s booth, customers can also learn about product info, services, financial solutions and sale programs exclusively designed for the Dutch market.
“The Netherlands is one of VinFast’s three key markets in Europe and among the continent’s most developed EV market,” said Ho Thanh Huong, Chief Executive Officer of VinFast Europe.
“Dutch people care about the environment and embrace electrification. VinFast’s goal is to make our smart, environmentally friendly EV products designed and manufactured with European technologies the choice for Dutch consumers, contributing to the accelerating electrification in the Netherlands,” she added.
In the Netherlands, VF 8 and VF 9 are available in Eco and Plus trims and with two battery options. VF8 is available with a choice of 82 kWh or 87.7 kWh batteries while VF9 customers can choose a 95 kWh or a 123 kWh battery.
VinFast EVs will come with best-in-class customer care policies including warranty for car within 10 years or initial 200,000km.
Apart from its previously announced battery subscription model aimed at lowering EV ownership costs, VinFast also offers the option of battery purchase from September 1st 2022, in order to meet customers’ various needs.
Previously, VinFast announced its plan to open more than 50 VinFast Stores across France, Germany, and the Netherlands towards the end of 2023.
As part of this plan, the first Dutch Stores are expected to launch in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Den Haag from the end of this year.
VinFast has just delivered the 100 first VF 8s to customers in Vietnam and plans to export the next batch of approximately 5,000 VF 8s to the United States, Canada, and Europe during November.
The first international customers are expected to receive their vehicles as early as December 2022.
