PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GoTo), the Indonesia merged entity of Gojek and Tokopedia, has further strengthened synergies across its platforms with the launch of GoFood, its online food delivery service, on Tokopedia.

With the integration of GoFood, Tokopedia customers will be able to order from their favorite food and beverage merchants seamlessly, while GoFood merchants will also gain access to Tokopedia’s growing customer base, providing them with more diverse earning opportunities and additional advertising potential, GoTo said in a statement on Friday.

“The launch of GoFood on Tokopedia supports our strategy to realize synergies across GoTo’s ecosystem, expanding access to goods and services for the benefit of consumers, driver partners and merchants across our platforms,

“Starting today Tokopedia customers can conveniently explore and order from GoFood’s vast culinary offering within the Tokopedia app, while GoFood merchants will be able to reach new customers,” said Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo, GoTo Group Director and Head of Food and Indonesia Sales & Ops.

Patrick Cao, GoTo Group President said, “We are encouraged by the progress we have made in getting users to transact on both Tokopedia and Gojek, with the number doing so increasing 37% year-on-year in 2021.”

By adding GoFood, we hope to open up more paths to purchase and broaden access for consumers and merchants alikem,” he added.

GoFood on Tokopedia is currently available to users in the Jabodetabek Greater Jakarta area and will be subsequently rolled out to more customers across Indonesia in the near future.

Users can access GoFood on Tokopedia via iOS and Android in app versions 2.188 and 3.182 onwards, respectively. Tokopedia customers ordering on GoFood can pay with GoPay.
