What makes China tick? Understanding this just might influence the way you live and where you choose to live. ORIGIN, a content track run by TechNode, dives deep into the basis of China’s technology. With the goal of helping the world understand why and how to get involved in this new stage of China’s development, ORIGIN offers valuable connections with critical players in the Chinese tech community and helps facilitate more interaction between China and SEA through a two-track focus: industry conferences and investor meetings.

ORIGIN will be launching this September at SWITCH 2018. SWITCH, the Singapore Week of Innovation and TeCHnology, is a new platform concept where tech and innovation come together to “plug and play.” The conference will be the first in Singapore to gather both public and private sector players in the tech and business ecosystem for a week of exhibitions, speaker sessions, workshops, and activities around the topics of open innovation, technology transfer, tech entrepreneurship, venture funding, and talent development. It also aims to open up a new genre of events that showcase the intersection of technology and lifestyle—the way we live, learn, work and play.

This year, in collaboration with National Research Foundation of Singapore (NRF), TechNode will be focusing largely on the ASEAN-China synergy, uncovering insights on the latest trends and developments in China’s vibrant tech scene and SEA’s rapid growth landscape. With invigorating panels and intimate fireside chats, SWITCH aims to encourage cross-sharing and mutual understanding that benefits everyone.
