DESCRIPTION:With the Fintech industry in ASEAN being expected to grow at a CAGR of 72.5% from 2015 to 2020 and the arrival of new Fintech Technologies\, this ecosystem has and is developing so quickly. Join us as we analyse the developments in the Fintech ecosystem and discuss the trends to look out for in 2019. \nAbout the Panel Speakers:\n1) Mr. Salman Jaffer\, Technology Lead\, TMS – Refinitiv (Thomson Reuters)\nSalman currently is building and leading the Text Metadata Services (TMS) team in Refinitiv Singapore. He has high levels of expertise in Data Science\, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence with a demonstrated track record over 15 years of delivering successful portfolios of programs in the financial services industry. \n2) Mr. Kai Loffler\, Digital + Innovation – KPMG Digital Village\nKai currently works within the KPMG Digital Village team in Singapore. He has gained experience working with both start-ups\, corporates and investors in the FinTech\, InsurTech and Blockchain space in the Netherlands\, South Africa and Singapore. His key areas of focus include delivering corporate and government projects using design thinking related to FinTech\, InsurTech\, RegTech and Blockchain as well as Emerging Technologies across a range of business challenges and industries. \n3) Mr. David Yin\, Corporate Development\, Wecash\nDavid Yin is experienced in fintech strategy and operations\, having worked on it across several industries (startup\, consulting\, journalism\, banking) and geographies (SE Asia\, China\, USA\, Europe). He is currently focused on expanding Wecash in Southeast Asia while contributing to Forbes Magazine. David graduated with honors from Yale University.\n \n4) Mr. Liu Xi\, CEO\, FOMO Pay\nLiu Xi is a payment specialist in Chinese payment and new alternative payment modes in Asia. With prior working experience in VISA\, he saw the opportunity of new mobile payment and started up one of the largest payment aggregator company – FOMO Pay in Singapore. \n5) Mr. Samir Chaibi\, Investment Manager\, GREE Ventures\nSamir is an early-stage VC investing in Southeast Asian markets for GREE Ventures\, specifically Indonesia and Singapore.
