Malaysia approves 12 data center projects worth $20.9B greenlit from 2021 to June 2024 – report

The Malaysian Investment Development Board has approved 12 data center investment projects that include data center activities, cloud computing and data hosting with an investment of MYR90.2 billion ($20.9 billion) over the period from 2021 to June 30, 2024, national news agency Bernama reported.
The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry announced that of the total approved, six projects with an investment of MYR68.9 billion ($15.99 billion) — four in Johor and one each in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur — have been completed and are operating.
